A to Z Fan Guide
The University of Akron campus and InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field offer a great college football gameday atmosphere. The gates to InfoCision Stadium open 60 minutes prior to kickoff and fans are encouraged to arrive early and allow extra time for parking and gaining entrance to the facility.
ALCOHOL POLICY
Zips Athletics has an alcohol policy in place for the safety of all fans, staff and student-athletes, as well as provides special services for designated drivers. Click Here for more information on Zips Athletics' Alcohol Policy.
ATM
There are no ATMs located inside InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field. The closest ATMs are located at Rhodes Arena and the Student Union.
BANNERS, POSTERS AND SIGNS
Guests are permitted to bring and display banners at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field as long as they do not interfere with the game, other guests' enjoyment of the game or carry obscene, political or commercial messages. Signs should not be any larger than 24" x 36" (2' x 3'). The University of Akron reserves the right to determine the acceptability of the content of the signage. Banners may be hung from the face of the lower level of InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field where advertising signage does not exist.
CAMERAS
Cameras are permitted in InfoCision Stadium. However, at no time may photography interfere with other guests. Professional equipment, large camera bags, tripods or cameras with long telephoto lenses are not permitted.
CONCESSIONS AND BEER SALES
Ten concession stands are located throughout the stadium. Concessions for Zips Athletics are operated by Aramark. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted at all concession stands. Draft beer products are available for purchase at a satellite location near section 110. Canned beer products are available for purchase at concession stands in sections 106, 109, 113 and 114. CREDIT CARDS
Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted at the Team Shop, Athletics Ticket Office and at all concession stands. Zip Cards are accepted at concession stands 2, 8 and 9.
DISABILITY SEATING
A wheelchair or with disability patron is entitled to purchase two (2) tickets in the specified area (one for the wheelchair and one for a guest in an adjacent bleacher seat). If additional seating is needed for guests they may purchase seats outside the reserved wheelchair seating area. Disability seating is available on both the east and west side of the stadium.
EMERGENCY CONTACT
In the event of an emergency, please contact event staff to assist you. Fans may also use the Guest Assist text messaging service and should text 888-99-AKRON (25766) if they have a security concern or need assistance. Event staff will reply and react to each request.
EVACUATION
In case of evacuation, instruction will be relayed via the public address system and video board. Gate personnel and ushers will assist you in exiting the stadium.
FIRST AID
First Aid is located in the concourse area near Section 100 by Gate 2. Please see a law enforcement officer, usher or event staff for assistance.
GAMEDAY SCHEDULE
- Parking lots 6, 8, 9, 10, and 72 will open at 8:00 a.m. for tailgating, regardless of kickoff time. All other lots will open 4 hours prior to kickoff.
- InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field Gates Open: 60 minutes prior to kickoff
- Marching Band's pre-game performance at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field: 19 minutes prior to kickoff

GUEST ASSIST
Guest Assist is a messaging service that allows fans the opportunity to contact Zips Athletics if they have a security concern or need assistance. Event staff will reply and react to each request. Click Here to contact Guest Assist.
GUEST SERVICES
Guest Services is located near Section 100/Gate 2. Event staff will be available to assist guests with a number of issues including, but not limited to, ticket issues (accessible seating, upgrades, etc.), prohibited items check, comment cards, wheelchair assistance, emergency re-entry and lost and found.
LOST AND FOUND
Lost items recovered during the game will be delivered to the Guest Service Station near Section 100/Gate 2. After the game, all unclaimed items are turned over to the Athletics Facilities Department (330) 972-7144 located in Fieldhouse 197.
LOST OR STOLEN TICKETS
Replacement tickets will be issued at the discretion of the Athletic Ticket Office and will carry a $5 replacement fee per transaction. It is recommended that individuals needing replacement tickets contact the Athletics Ticket Office prior to game day.
LOST PERSONS
Guests should contact the nearest police officer or event staff member. If a parent, guardian or companion is not located, the lost person will be taken to the University Police room located in the concourse near Section 100 by Gate 2.
MEDICAL EMERGENCY
If assistance is needed in your vicinity, please contact the nearest law enforcement officer, event staff member or go the Guest Services located near Section 100.
MERCHANDISE
A merchandise stand is located at the Team Shop near Gate 1.

- Outside alcoholic beverages
- Backpacks or any bag larger than 10" x 10" x 12"
- Banners/Signs larger than 2' x 3'
- Camera equipment, tripods or cameras with long telephoto lenses

- Pets (with the exception of animals used by disabled guests)
- Signs or clothing with inappropriate or offensive language

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS
Personal messages on the public address system and video board are not permissible.
RADIO BROADCASTS
The flagship station for Akron football is 640 AM WHLO. Other network affiliates are 1420 WHK in Cleveland and 1440 WHKZ in Warren/Youngstown.
RE-ENTRY POLICY
Guests will not be permitted to re-enter once they leave the stadium.
SEATING CHART

SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited in all areas within the gates of InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field.
SOLICITATION/LITERATURE
Setting up a promotional space and/or distributing any other written, printed and/or painted materials in or around InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field without the permission of The University of Akron is prohibited.
TEAM SHOP
The Zips Team Shop, located in the southwest corner of InfoCision Stadium near Gate 1, will open three hours prior to kickoff and close 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game. Fans can access the store from inside the stadium once the game is underway and from outside the venue until about 2 hours prior to kickoff. Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted at the Team Shop. The store, which offers all of the latest in Zips merchandise, is open Monday- Thursday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and on Friday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., in addition to its gameday hours.
TICKET INFORMATION
- Group Tickets: Groups of 15 or more can purchase general admission or reserved group tickets at a discounted rate. Group tickets must be purchased prior to game day. Call 888-99-AKRON (25766).
- Office Hours: Tickets can be purchased Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
- Game Day Hours: The main ticket office (Gate 1) opens at 9 a.m.
- Ticket Policy: Any individual 3 years of age and older requires a ticket for admission.
- Student Tickets: Each current undergraduate, graduate and doctoral candidate student who has paid the annual student activities fee is entitled to one free general admission ticket to each home game as long as space remains in the designated student section. A valid University of Akron Student Identification Card must be presented to receive admission into the football game.
- U+2 Ticket Program: You can bring up to two guests for FREE to any home game based on availability. Go to The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office, at the football stadium, Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm, or show up to the event on gameday and go to the event ticket window to claim your FREE guest tickets.
TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE
Those who need assistance to get to InfoCision Stadium from the parking lots should notify a parking lot attendant, and a golf cart will be dispatched to transport the person or group. Golf carts are dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis, so allot extra time if you need to utilize this service.

- General Public Will Call is located near Gate 1, at the main Ticket Office in the southwest corner of the stadium.
- Akron Player Guest, High School Coaches and Spirit Team Will Call is located at Gate 1, in the southwest corner of the stadium.
- Visiting Team Player Guest Will Call is at Gate 1, in the southwest corner of the stadium.

Official Zips gear available at the Team Shop
