Kirstin (Barden) Weaver was named the assistant athletics director for marketing on October 3, 2016.
Barden's responsibilities include overseeing the marketing and promotions for football, men's basketball, and women's basketball. She also handles group ticket sales, graphic design, campus marketing, and Zippy's Kids Club.
Before joining the Zips, Weaver spent two years at the University of Dayton as the assistant director of marketing. She created and implemented comprehensive marketing plans for the women's soccer, volleyball, and softball teams. She also assisted with men's and women's basketball in an effort to build brand recognition, increase attendance and create revenue through ticket sales. Weaver also was responsible for the Future Flyers Kids Club and donation requests.
Prior to Dayton, Weaver served as the assistant director of marketing at High Point University.
The Dayton, Ohio, native graduated from The Ohio State University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She spent a year working with the Dayton Gems before pursuing her master's degree in physical education and sport leadership at North Dakota State University in 2013 where she also served as the marketing graduate assistant.
Weaver resides in Dalton with her husband Nick.
