FOOTBALL CAMP OPENS
The second year of Bowden Ball is officially underway, as football spring practice started earlier this week. GoZips.com is providing full coverage of every practice on our Spring Practice Central web page, including video highlights, media coverage, interviews with Coach Bowden and more. Head Coach Terry Bowden is excited to continue building a winning football program through 15 on-field sessions this month.
All of it culminates with our annual Spring Game on Saturday, April 27. We have a full day planned and hope you will join us:
-Football alumni reunion begins with check-in and registration at 8:30 a.m. and includes a pre-game meal with the team, and a 10:30 a.m. reception on the FirstMerit Foundation Club Level. (If you are coming from out of town, we also have negotiated a discounted rate at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn – please click here for more information.)
-Our fourth-annual Youth Clinic starts with check-in and registration at 10:15 a.m. and will run from 11 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in Stile Athletics Field House
-At 12 p.m. we will host a reception for renewed or new football season ticketholders, as well as an open forum about our Athletics Strategic Planning process, on the FirstMerit Foundation Club Level of InfoCision Stadium.
-The Spring Game will kick off at 1 p.m.

On the road this week are Softball (games at Bowling Green and Toledo), Women’s Golf (looking to defend its Eastern Kentucky University Colonel Classic title) and Men’s Golf (at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate in Charlotte).
Good luck to all Zips!
BASKETBALL SEAT DEPOSITS AND PROCESS
We are continuing to Think Bigger about Men’s Basketball,
and the next milestone for our program is to sell out the lower
level of Rhodes Arena in season tickets. We already are well
on our way to accomplishing that goal for the 2013-14 season
– and we want to give our current season ticketholders the
first chance to add seats.
All Men’s Basketball season ticketholders are receiving a
letter from Coach Dambrot offering you the chance to add seats by
Friday, April 12 – please call our Ticket Office at
888-99-AKRON (25766) to take advantage of this exclusive
window. After that date, we will offer opportunities for
Z-Fund donors as well as UA faculty and staff to purchase before
everything is opened up to the general public.
