Golf Preview: Nittany Lion Invitational

Akron, Ohio. – The Akron women's golf team is back on the course for their second tournament of the season as the Zips travel to State College, Pa. for the Nittany Lion Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 7-8.
The Course
All 54 holes will be played at the Penn State Blue Course (Par 72, 6,363 yards). While the individual competitors will play 36 holes on the Penn State White Course (Par 72, 6,164 yards).
The Field (18 Teams)
The two-day, 54-hole tournament showcases a 18-team field including Penn State (host), Akron, Bucknell, Delaware, Duquesne, Harvard, James Madison, Lehigh, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Quinnipiac, Richmond, Saint Joseph's, Seton Hall, Towson, Virginia Tech, Yale and Youngstown State.
All 18 teams will play on the Blue course while 45 individuals across the 18 teams will compete at the first-ever Happy Valley Individual Crown across the grounds on the White Course.

Akron Lineup (5)
The Zips scoring five consists of Goethe Na Songkhla (12A), Sohniya Chandra Mohan (13B), Kaitlin Kormuth (13A), Amara Montoya (14) and Thitirat Silakham (15), while Katrin Horn Danielsdottir competes as an individual.

The Happy Valley Individual Crown will feature 18 holes each day for a total of 36 holes. Shotgun starts are scheduled for 9 a.m. each day on both courses.
