AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron Athletics Department invites fans of all ages to the Party on Vine Street, a free pregame tailgate experience ahead of the Akron Zips' 2026 home football opener against Robert Morris on Saturday, September 12.
Kickoff doesn't start at 3:30 p.m. — it starts with the Party on Vine Street. Join us on Saturday, September, 12 at 1–2:30 p.m. for the ultimate tailgate experience featuring food trucks, games, music, and Zippy before the Zips football home opener against Robert Morris.
Arrive early and experience an exciting game day atmosphere featuring:
• Family-friendly activities
• Food trucks
• Interactive games, including a Field Goal Challenge, Football Toss, and video game truck
• Mascot and team appearances
• Campus and community vendors
• Beer garden
• Music and entertainment
• Whether you're a lifelong Zips fan or attending your first game, Party on Vine Street is the perfect place to gather with friends and family before cheering on the Zips!

Season tickets and single game tickets are available now on GoZips.com/Tickets or the by calling/texting the Akron ticket office at 888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium Summa Health Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets) Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Group experiences for the 2026 season are also available! Individual and corporate groups can plan a memorable experience at an Akron Football home game this fall by visiting our Tickets Page here. Discounted group tickets and fan experiences are available starting today for a minimum purchase of 10 tickets, and fan experiences are available on a first come, first serve basis to any home football game during the 2026 season.
