University of Akron Athletics Holds Annual Day of Giving

AKRON, Ohio — The University of Akron (UA) Department of Athletics is proud to host its annual Akron Athletics Day of Giving on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. This one-day fundraising event unites Zips alumni, fans, donors, and former student-athletes in a shared mission to invest in the future of Akron Athletics.
Supporters across the country are encouraged to make a gift — of any size — to the sport, fund, or initiative that means most to them. Donations can be directed to sport-specific funds, capital projects, or the Zips Athletics Club, the cornerstone annual giving program that fuels the day-to-day success of Zips programs.
Throughout the day, Akron Athletics will highlight coaches, donors, and student-athletes on social media, sharing their stories, program goals, and the direct impact that donor support makes on their experience as Zips.
