Hezri Leads Akron Scoring at Boilermaker Spring Classic

West Lafayette, Ind. – Maisarah Hezri led the Akron scoring with a 10-over par score at the 2025 Boilermaker Classic as the Zips finished 12th with 295-310-314 – 919 (+55) tournament total on Monday.
Hezri tied for 33rd overall at the Ackerman-Allen Golf Course (par 72, 6,212 yards). She carded 40 par scores with three birdies en route to a 226 (+10) 54-hole total. She opened with a 1-over par 73, and followed with rounds of 77 (+5) and 76 (+4), respectively.
Daphne van Son opened the tournament on fire, registering a career-low 4-under par 68 score on the initial 18-holes of play. She collected five birdies and added three more over the following 36-holes to finish 7th among the field in birdies with eight. Van Son also ranked seventh in ar-5 scoring with a 2-under 4.83 average for 54-holes. She followed the 68 (-4) with a pair of 81 (+9) scores to finish the 54-hole event with a 230 (+14) ledger, ranking tied at 48th overall.
Hridhika Vora was third in scoring for Akron and ranked 7th overall with van Son in par-5 scoring with a 2-under 4.83 average. Vora finished the tournament with rounds of 79 (+7), 75 (+3) and 78 (+6) for a 232 (+16) total, ranking tied at 56th overall.
Emily Liptak and Sohniya Chandra Mohan rounded out the Zips team scoring with 238 (+22) and 246 (+30) scores. Liptak ranked 4th in par-3 scoring with a 1-over par 3.08 average.
The season finale 2025 Mid-American Conference Tournament is next up for the Zips as Ball State hosts the event at the Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Ind. on April 20-22.
