MAC Championships: Chandra Mohan and van Son Lead Zips in round two, Akron Ninth

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Akron Zips posted a 324 team score en route to a 626 (+50) 36-hole total at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships on Monday at Delaware Country Club.

The Zips scoring was led by Sohniya Chandra Mohan and Daphne Van Son with an 8-over par 80 second round score. Chandra Mohan currently ranks 18^th overall with a 153 (+9) total, while van Son is tied for 45^th overall with a 165 (+21) total.

A trio of Zips followed as Maisarah Hezri, Hridhika Vora and Emily Liptak all shot 82 (+10) totals. Hezri ranks second on the team in scoring with a 154 (+10) and tied for 21^st overall, while Vora (+12, 156) and Liptak (+21, 165) rank tied for 26^th and 45^th, respectively.

Akron will be back in action on Tuesday as third round tee times off holes No. 1 and 10 as the Zips go off on 10 starting at 9:30 a.m. with van Son followed by: Liptak (9:38), Vora (9:46), Hezri (9:54) and Chandra Mohan (10:02).
