MAC Releases Preseason WBB Poll

MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PRESEASON POLL RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference unveiled its preseason women's basketball poll on Tuesday (Oct. 21).
Kent State (133 points, 5 first-place votes) was projected to finish first in the projection for the 13-team league and was followed by Toledo (118 points, 2 votes), UMass (115, 3 votes), Ball State (112, 3 votes), Central Michigan (105), Bowling Green (101), Miami (86), Akron (51), Western Michigan (48), Ohio (44), Buffalo (42), Eastern Michigan (36) and Northern Illinois (23).
The Mid-American Conference Tournament will be held at Rocket Arena in Cleveland on March 11-14, 2026.
Akron under the direction of third-year head coach Ryan Gensler opens its campaign traveling to South Alabama on Nov. 3 as part of the third annual MAC-Sun Belt Challenge.
The Zips return to James A. Rhodes Arena to open their home campaign entertaining Binghamton on Nov. 20.
Women's basketball season ticket plans are available for the upcoming season in the general admission seating only for $60 per seat for every home game. A season parking pass is included with the purchase of the season ticket plan.
