Akron Women's Basketball Releases Non-Conference Game Times

2025-26 AKRON WBB SCHEDULE | PURCHASE SEASON TICKETS
AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron women's basketball team under the leadership of third-year head coach Ryan Gensler unveiled the starting times for its 2025-26 non-conference schedule on Friday.
The non-conference slate is highlighted by six games at James A. Rhodes Arena for the Zips, including squaring off against Xavier on Nov. 24.
Akron opens its campaign traveling to South Alabama on Nov. 3 as part of the third annual MAC-Sun Belt Challenge before traveling to Robert Morris (Nov. 7), No. 15 Notre Dame (Nov. 12) and Cleveland State (Nov. 16).
Akron will be playing the Fighting Irish for only the second time in program history after meeting in the 2011 Preseason Women's National Invitation Tournament.
The Zips return to James A. Rhodes Arena to open their home campaign entertaining Binghamton on Nov. 20 to commence a four-game homestand. Akron also hosts Xavier (Nov. 24) and Youngstown State (Nov. 30) to close out the month before opening December battling Heidelberg (Dec. 3).
The Zips visit No. 13 Michigan (Dec. 13) before welcoming Geneva College (Dec. 16) to the JAR.
Akron closes the month of December traveling to Philadelphia to compete in the Hawk Classic hosted by Saint Joseph's (Dec. 20-21). The Zips will play Delaware on Dec. 20 before facing either the host Hawks or LeMoyne on Dec. 21.
Akron closes its non-conference schedule on Feb. 7, 2026, as the Zips host at a yet to be determined opponent in the MAC-SBC Challenge.
Women's basketball season ticket plans are available for the upcoming season in the general admission seating only for $60 per seat for every home game. A season parking pass is included with the purchase of the season ticket plan.
