Akron's Simmons and Farkas Participate in #TopConnectGALA

TUCSON, Ariz. – Kelly Simmons and Peter Farkas of the University of Akron women's and men's basketball programs were among 21 graduate assistants who participated in the TopConnect Graduate Assistant Leadership Academy with coach Josh Pastner.
Simmons and Farkas completed eight sessions and are among the future leaders in college basketball.
This academy identifies up-and-coming coached in the country and provides them the necessary skills and relationships to assist them on their career path.
TopConnect was born over 15 years ago as a project to connect future leaders with current leaders. Initially launched as Villa 7, the TopConnect program has evolved into a valuable resource for professionals in the current climate of sports, athletics and leadership in general to foster dialogue between individuals that continually strive to effectively lead people, programs and organizations.
