Grace Nuhfer Captures Silver in the 100 Fly at the Paris Paralympic Games

PARIS - Akron Swimming and Diving senior Grace Nuhfer captured a silver medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games in the S13 100 Butterfly on Thursday,
August 29.
Nuhfer finished second with a time of 1:03.88, behind Carlotta Gilli of Italy. She was just .61 seconds behind Gilli, who claimed gold with a 1:03.27 time.
Prelims
Starting the day off with a bang, Nuhfer swam the fastest time in the S13 100 Fly prelims with a time of 1:03.95 in the first heat. She beat the second-fastest swimmer, Carlotta Gilli, time of 1:04.19 in the second heat. Gilli owns the World (1:02.22) and Paralympic (1:02.65) Records in the S13 100 Fly.
Nuhfer is set to compete in the S13 100 Backstroke prelims tomorrow, August 30 at 5:17 am ET. She will also compete in the S13 50 Free on Monday, September 2 at 4:51 am ET and the S13 200 IM on Tuesday,September 3 at 5:20 am.
