Akron Athletics Launches New Mobile App

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron Department of Athletics launched a new mobile app for Zips fans developed in partnership with Snap!Mobile on Thursday.
The new Akron Zips Athletics App integrates news, team information and schedules as well as ways to purchase Akron tickets and apparel. To celebrate the launch of the Akron Zips Athletics App, fans who download the app will have early access to select single game tickets for our fall sports before they go on sale to the general public on August 1, 2023.
"I'm delighted to introduce the new app as part of our ongoing efforts to engage and inform Zips fans, alumni, students, supporters and the campus community as a whole," said Director of Athletics Charles Guthrie. "Equipped with real-time updates and notifications, as well as the ability to manage ticket accounts, the app will serve as a gateway to our department and will be the premium way to stay up to date on the very latest in Akron Zips Athletics."
The Akron Zips Athletics App serves as a one-stop shop location for fans to access exclusive content such as audio streaming, video streaming and fan guides. It will also feature promotional offers for fans from various sponsors of Akron Athletics.
