Ten Zips Garner Academic All-MAC Softball Accolades

2023 SOFTBALL ACADEMIC ALL-MAC RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The University of Akron softball team earned 10 selections when the Mid-American Conference released its 2023 Softball Academic All-MAC Team on Wednesday, May 31.
In all, 96 student-athletes from 11 conference institutions were honored including redshirt senior Olivia Otani (Canton, Ohio), redshirt juniors Laurel DeVoe (North Canton, Ohio), Molly McChesney (Verona, Wis.) and Tiffany Stevens (Toledo, Ohio), juniors Carley Auten (Pickerington, Ohio), Madison Dudek (Uniontown, Ohio), Kalli Macintosh-Houlder (Mississauga, Ontario) and Olivia Stefanoni (Hudson, Ohio) along with sophomores Autumn Bailey (Ashland, Ohio) and Alexis Campbell (Indianapolis, Ind.).
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
