Holland, Ohio – The Akron Zips women's golf team finished moved to third place with a 300 (+12) second round, while sophomore Jennifer David (Hudson, Ohio) is tied for fifth overall at the 2022 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships on Saturday hosted by Toledo at Stone Oak Country Club.

The Zips own a 316-300 – 616 (+40) tournament total, 13 strokes behind second-place Northern Illinois 305-298 – 603 (+27), while No. 43 ranked Kent State leads the field with a 296-294 – 590 (+14) total.

David annded a second-round 74 (+2) score to her opening round 76 (+4) for a 150 (+6) and tied with Ball State's Liz Kim.

Junior Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India) is currently tied for 12^th with a 80-74 – 154 (+10), while sophomore Jessica Hahn (Canton, Ohio) and graduate student Ke'Asha Phillips (Owensboro, Ky.) are tied for 15^th and 19^th, respectively. Hahn is 11-over with a 155 after a 75 (+3) second round and Phillips carded a 77 (+5) round for a 157 (+13) tournament total. Rounding out the scoring for the Zips was junior Jacinta Pikunas (Youngstown, Ohio) with a 81-80 – 161 (+17) ledger.

The final round of the 2022 MAC Championships is scheduled for a 9 a.m. start with the Zips tee-off time slated from hole No. 1 at 9:50 a.m. with Pikunas followed by Phillips (10:00), Hahn (10:10), Shah (10:20) and David (10:30).
