Akron Cross Country Garners USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

2021 USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM HONORS
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Akron cross country team under the leadership of Zips' head track and field coach Dennis Mitchell and women's cross country head coach Anna Bearss garnered recognition for the squad's efforts in the classroom as the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) tabbed Akron a Division I All-Academic team for the 2021 campaign.
The Akron squad recorded a 3.142 GPA and garnered recognition for its work in the classroom for the eighth straight year.
Overall, 168 women's teams and 150 men's teams earned All-Academic team honors.
