AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron football added another Power 5 opponent in Tennessee to its future non-conference schedule on Tuesday when the Southeastern Conference unveiled its 2022 football schedule.

The Zips will visit Tennessee on Sept. 17, 2022, for a game at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn.

Akron and Tennessee have met twice previously on the gridiron, with the Vols capturing home victories on Nov. 11, 1989 and Sept. 22, 2012.
