2021 ACADEMIC ALL-MAC SOFTBALL TEAM RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio -Â The University of Akron softball team earned 10 selections when the Mid-American Conference released its 2021 Softball Academic All-MAC team on Tuesday, June 22.

In all, 116 student-athletes from all 12 conference institutions were honored including seniors Jessie Holzman (Medina, Ohio), Samantha Malik (Orlando, Fla.) and Macky Mitchiner (Riverside, Calif.), redshirt juniors Alexa DiFeo (Akron, Ohio) and Lauren Holdsworth (Howell, Mich.), redshirt sophomores Morgan Cadmus (Tecumseh, Mich.) and Lexie Petrof (Ligonier, Pa.) and redshirt freshmen Laurel DeVoe (North Canton, Mich.), Molly McChesney (Verona, Wis.) and Tiffany Stevens (Toledo, Ohio).

To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the scheduled contests and/or completed at the league championship in the particular sport.
