CLEVELAND, Ohio – University of Akron junior diver Paige Kalik (Irwin, Pa.) was named Mid-American Conference Women's Diver of the Week for two outstanding performances at the Zips Classic, the league announced Wednesday.

Kalik registered a pair of NCAA Diving Zones qualifying performances in Akron's season-opening Zips Classic meet at Oliver J. Ocasek Natatorium on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 15-16. Kalik won the 3-meter event with 288.45 points and placed second overall on the 1-meter board with 271.58 total.

Akron is scheduled to host the Miami RedHawks at Ocasek Natatorium on Saturday, Oct 30 at 1 p.m.
