Three Akron Divers Named to CSCAA All-America Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Akron swimming and diving had three of its student-athletes earn individual CSCAA All-America honors, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America announced on Wednesday.

The three Zips were among 12 student-athletes representing the Mid-American Conference as All-Americans.Â
Â
Junior Andrea Bugariu (Shelby Township, Mich.), sophomore Kamryn Goodrick (Chesterland, Ohio), and freshman Paige Kalik (Irwin, Pa.) all received Scholastic All-America honors.Â

"It is a proud day to be a Zip! We are very excited for Andrea, Kami, and Paige to receive this honor. They gave great efforts, had tremendous courage, and took huge steps forward this season. All three return next year, and I am excited to watch them continue to perfect their craft on the diving boards," said head coach Brian Peresie.

To be eligible for All-America honors, all relays achieving 'A" standards, individuals selected to the NCAA Championships, and divers entered in uncontested events from the Zone C Diving qualification are qualified.Â
