COLLEGEINSIDER.COM MID-MAJOR WOMEN'S TOP-25 POLL (DEC. 8, 2020)
AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron women's basketball team garnered recognition for its early-season play as CollegeInsider.com tabbed the Zips (3-0) at No. 23 in its latest Mid-Major Women's Top-25 Poll released this week.

Sparked by the play of senior F Jordyn Dawson (Huntington, W.Va.), who is averaging team-high marks in scoring (18.0), rebounding (10.0) and assists (3.0), Akron has gotten off to a 3-0 mark on the campaign, including an impressive 77-74 triumph at Dayton, the 2019-20 Atlantic-10 Conference champions, on Sunday, Dec. 6.

The Zips' next scheduled contest is slated for Sunday, Dec. 13 as the Zips will open Mid-American Conference play traveling to Buffalo for a 2 p.m. tilt. The Bulls are rated No. 14 in the CollegeInsider.com this week. Additional non-conference games as well as changes to the league schedule may be announced in the coming weeks. The contest against Buffalo can be heard on 640 WHLO-AM.
