Zips Softball Announces 2019 Fall Schedule

AKRON, Ohio– Akron softball first-year head coach Meaggan Pettipiece announced the 2019 fall softball schedule.

The fall campaign consists of eight contests all away from Akron, Ohio and Lee Jackson Field.

UA is scheduled to compete in four contests in two days on September 28-29. First, the Zips travel to Columbus, Ohio, to take on Ohio State (12:45 p.m.) and Malone (3 p.m.). The next day, Akron squares off against Hiram (11 a.m.) and John Carroll (1 p.m.) at Hiram College.

The Zips head down the road to Kent State on Oct. 6 to take on the Golden Flashes.

Akron will round out the fall schedule at Youngstown State on Oct. 11 going head-to-head with YSU (4 p.m.) and Walsh (6 p.m.) before heading to Ashland on Oct. 13 for a contest with the Eagles at 2 p.m.
