DAYTONA – The University of Akron cheerleaders finished third at the 2019 NCA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship in Daytona, Fla., over the weekend.
Â
The third-place finish of 15 teams was the Zips' highest placement in program history. UA competed in the Intermediate Small Coed I category.

The Akron cheerleaders, under the guidance of coach Tim Siwicki, will hold tryouts for the 2019-20 squad on May 5. For more information, click the link below.
