Akron Track and Field Announces Scheduling Change to Campbell/Wright Invitational

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron track and field team has announced scheduling changes for the upcoming Campbell/Wright Invitational to be contested at the Lee R. Jackson Track and Field Complex, May 3-4.
The men's and women's javelin and hammer events will be contested at the Lee R. Jackson Track and Field Complex on the University of Akron campus on Friday, May 3, starting with the women's javelin at 1:30 p.m.
In conjunction with Walsh Jesuit High School, the running events for the annual meet that features student-athletes from Akron, Kent State and Pittsburgh, will be hosted at Walsh Jesuit High School (MAP) in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, on Saturday, May 4, from 11:30 a.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m.
The competition will conclude with the men's and women's discus, high jump, long jump, pole vault, shot put, triple jump and Senior Day recognition at the Lee R. Jackson Track and Field Complex starting at 2:30 p.m.
The Akron men's and women's track and field teams are scheduled to compete in a trio of meets this weekend as the Zips will participate in the LSU Invitational, Jesse Owens Classic and Hillsdale College Gina Relays.
