AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron women's tennis team will host its annual Akron Shootout in the fall and eight matches in the spring as part of it 2018-19 schedule which was announced on Monday.
"We are extremely excited about our schedule for the 2018-2019 season," said Akron head coach Brandon Padgett, who enters his eighth season as the Zips' mentor. "We have put together a strong slate of fall events and an intense non-conference schedule for the spring, including new to our schedule Boise State, Illinois State, Ohio State, and Weber State. I feel that this year's schedule will really challenge our team prior to the MAC season. We are very confident in the overall level and depth of this team, and I am truly looking forward to stepping on court with our four new players."
