In the second quarter, George intercepted a BGSU pass and returned it 53 yards. Facing a 4th-and-10, UA faked a punt as sophomore DL/TE Dylan Meeks (Orlando, Fla.) rushed 30 yards for a first down. Gasser completed an eight-play, 29-yard drive by converting a 32-yard field goal to put UA ahead 6-0.
With 10 seconds to go in the second quarter, BGSU completed a 10-play, 80-yard drive with a seven-yard touchdown reception to Dorian Hendrix. Capped with the extra point, the Falcons entered the locker room at halftime with a 7-6 edge.
