Zips’ Athletics Launches Updated Website with SIDEARM Sports

AKRON, Ohio– The University of Akron Athletics Department is proud to partner with SIDEARM Sports to unveil the latest design of its athletics website, GoZips.com, which launched on July 1. The new site affirms the department's commitment to providing Zips' fans with a top-of-the-line place to find all the latest news and information for all of UA's 18 athletics programs.
"We are excited to partner with SIDEARM Sports as our new web service provider," said George Van Horne, Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development and Marketing. "The newly designed website will provide a high quality web experience no matter the device fans are surfing to access GoZips.com. With this addition, we will continue to expand the Zips Digital Network and be able to provide fans with more behind-the-scenes coverage of our student-athletes, coaches, and programs. Our Communications team has been working diligently for weeks to preserve our history, promote our upcoming events, and publish a state-of-the-art site with easy maneuverability."
Fans will immediately notice the larger photos. Social media and video have also been enhanced on the new site.
