O'Connell Named to NAATSO Board of Directors

CLEVELAND – Zips Athletics' director of ticket operations Adam O'Connell has been named to the 2016-17 Board of Directors for the National Association of Athletic Ticketing and Sales Operations (NAATSO), the Association announced following its convention this summer.
"We are excited for Adam to represent not only the University of Akron, but the Mid-American Conference as a member of the Board of Directors of this prestigious organization," said George Van Horne, Akron's senior associate director of athletics for development and marketing.
O'Connell, who served as the Mid-American Conference's NAATSO representative during the 2015-16 academic year, has been with the Zips since 2006. He was named the director of ticket operations in 2011 after serving as the assistant director for five years.
A 2001 graduate of Kent State with a bachelor's degree in sport management/business management, O'Connell received a master's degree in higher education administration from Akron in 2011.
