Celebrate Zips' Athletics with the RubberDucks on April 29

AKRON, Ohio– Fans are invited to a community celebration as Zips' Athletics will be honored by the Akron RubberDucks on Friday, April 29. First pitch against the Altoona Curve is set for 6:35 p.m. at Canal Park. The game is sponsored by The University of Akron.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the Zips will be available for autographs and photos on the concourse prior to the game.
Zips' student-athletes and coaches will participate in the introductory parade prior to team line-ups. One lucky student-athlete will throw out the first pitch. The celebration continues with in-game video highlights of outstanding Zips' accomplishments from the 2015-16 academic year.
Fireworks will follow the game.
Tickets for all Akron students are $5 with a University ID card.
