Akron Basketball Presents... ZIPS JAM

Akron, Ohio – All Zips Basketball fans, get your first look at the 2016-17 men's and women's basketball teams at ZIPS JAM on Friday, Nov. 4 at James A. Rhodes Arena.
ZIPS JAM is an exclusive season preview for both the men's and women's basketball teams, featuring FREE admission, giveaways, live entertainment, and fan involvement with prizes valued at over $20,000.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and the basketball showcase begins at 7:30 p.m. followed by a concert featuring DJ KY and Lil Cray.
The basketball showcase features introductions of the 2016-17 men's and women's basketball teams followed by 3-point contest, involving both men's and women's players and select lucky fans.
Next, the men's squad will lineup for a brief blue-and-white scrimmage, and the women will follow with a 2-ball competition with the help of some lucky fans. The basketball showcase will conclude with a dunk competition with special guest judges.
After the basketball showcase, the live entertainment begins as local talents DJ KY and Lil Cray perform live at Rhodes Arena.

Season tickets are now on sale for the 2016-17 campaign, with ticket packages starting at $60 for men's basketball and $55 for women's basketball.
Another option is the All-Access 10-pack available for $100 that allows fans 10-undated vouchers which can be redeemed for 10 general admission tickets for any of Akron's ticketed sporting events.
Tickets can be purchased online anytime at GoZips.com/Tickets, or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Mondays through Fridays by either calling 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets).
