Brown to Participate in NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

CARSON, Calif.– Akron senior linebacker Jatavis Brown (Belle Glade, Fla.) has been selected to play in the 2016 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 23, at the StubHub Center on the campus of Cal State Dominguez Hills. Kickoff is 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
Brown will play for team National, coached by NFL legend Mike Martz.
The 2015 Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year and a three-time first-team All-MAC selection, Brown finished his collegiate career with the school record 41.5 tackles for loss. He also set season records for most tackles for loss (20.0) and sacks (12.0). The team's Defensive MVP helped the Zips (8-5 overall, 5-3 MAC) to a 23-21 win over Utah State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
