CHARDON, Ohio – The Akron men's golf team remained in ninth place through round three of the 2015 Mid-American Conference Championship on Saturday at the par-72, 7,245-yard Mayfield Sand Ridge Club – Sand Ridge Campus.
The Zips closed day three with a round of 12-over 300 and will open Sunday's final round with a 54-hole total of 906 (+42). Miami (Ohio) leads the field with a total score of 870 (+6).
Yann Pfeiffer and George Baylis sit inside the top-25, ending the day in a tie for 21st place with three-round tallies of 225 (+9). Preiffer posted a round of 4-over 76 while Baylis carded his third-straight round of 75 (+3).
For the third-straight round, Louis Birchall carded a score of 4-over 76 to end play on Saturday in a tie for 31st place (228, +12).
Ryan Harris closed the day in a tie for 36th place after posting a round of 73 (+1). He will open Sunday's final round with a 54-hole tally of 231 (+15).
J.B. Williams rounded out the scoring-five in a tie for 40th place (234, +18) after carding a third-round 79 (+7).
