Baseball's Regular Season Finale Moved to 1 p.m.

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron baseball team and Kent State have agreed to move up today's first pitch at Lee R. Jackson Field to 1 p.m. from 4 p.m. due to expected inclement weather in the afternoon forecast.

The Zips will be going for the series win after picking up a 2-1 victory on Saturday, thanks in part to JT Brubaker's 6.0 inning, one-run performance. KSU took the opening matchup by a 7-1 final at the annual Diamond Classic at Canal Park.

UA – who clinched a slot in the postseason – is also currently jockeying for a playoff position for seeding at the Mid-American Conference Baseball Tournament, held at All Pro Freight Stadium in Avon, Ohio from May 20-23.
