OPELIKA, Ala. – The Akron men's golf team posted a round of 311 and is in 16th place after day one of the 2015 Tiger Invitational Presented by Jason Dufner on the par-72, 7,149-yard Grand National Lake Course.
The Zips sit at 23-over through 18 holes with 14th-ranked Auburn leading the field posting a 2-over 290 on Sunday.
Ryan Harris and Yann Pfeiffer led the way for Akron, posting rounds of 4-over 76 to end play in a tie for 40th place.
Louis Birchall carded a score of 7-over 79 and is tied for 70th place while George Baylis is tied for 74th place with a round of 80 (+8).
Zach Gollwitzer rounded out the squad in 87th place, posting a first-round score of 85 (+13).
Play will continue on Monday with tee times set to begin at 8:45 a.m. ET from the first and tenth tees. Fans can follow all three rounds via GolfStat Live Scoring.
