Akron Women's Tennis Picked Seventh in MAC

AKRON, Ohio— The University of Akron women's tennis team has been tabbed to finish seventh in Mid-American Conference play this spring, the league announced on Friday.
In their preseason poll, the head coaches unanimously selected defending champion Miami (Ohio) to capture both the 2015 regular-season title and the MAC Tournament championship.
Eastern Michigan was picked second, followed by Ball State. The complete poll is listed below.
The Zips open the spring portion of their schedule with Tulane on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. at the LaTuchie Tennis Center in Stow.
The 2015 MAC tournament is slated for April 24-26 on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
The complete voting totals are as follows with eight head coaches casting votes.
