KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Akron senior Charlie Bull remains in the hunt for a top-10 finish after the first day of competition at the 2014 Irish Creek Collegiate.
After two rounds, Bull is tied for seventh place overall at 1-under par, just four strokes back from the leaders.
Zach Gollwitzer sits inside the top-20 as well after posting a second round of 3-under (68), the team's lowest score of the day.
As a team, the Zips are tied for 14th place with a score of 599 after 36 holes.
Louis Birchall is in 83rd place and Chandler Morgan is in 89th with scores of 155 (+13) and 159 (+17), respectively. Ryan Harris withdrew from competition after the first 18 holes.
North Florida and and Georgia State finished the day in a tie for first place in the team standings. MJ Maguire (North Florida) and Thomas Rowland (Charlotte) lead the field with individual scores of five-under (137).
