AWENDAW, S.C. – Ryan Harris sits inside the top-10 after 18 holes as the Akron Zips closed day one of the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in 15th place on Sunday.
Harris fired a round of 2-under 70 and is tied for 10th place, just two shots off the lead. The Zips posted a round of 15-over 303 on the day. No. 55 Missouri and No. 24 South Carolina are tied atop the leaderboard with scores of 7-under 281.
Louis Birchall posted a score of 5-over 77 to finish in a tie for 62nd place. Charlie Bull and J.B. Williams are tied for 67th place after posting identical rounds of 6-over 78.
Zach Gollwitzer rounded out the scoring-five in a tie for 72nd place after finishing the day with a score of 79 (+7).
Round two tee times are set to begin at 9 a.m. ET from the first and 10th tees. The Zips will take the course beginning at 9:50 a.m. from the 10th tee. Fans can follow all the action live online via Golfstat Live Scoring.
