Baseball to Host Winter Camps

AKRON, Ohio - Following their appearance in the Mid-American Conference championship game this past spring, the University of Akron baseball team has announced plans to host a series of camps coming up this winter.
There will be three camps available to perspective players, as follows:
Pitching and Catching Camp
Ages 8-18 (players will be grouped by age)
Nov. 15-16
9 a.m. - Noon
Zips Pitching Coach Kyle Smith (former all-MAC pitcher and Cleveland Indian) and catching coach Matt Burns, along with Head Coach Rick Rembielak and several Zips players will instruct.
Video analysis will be available for all campers.
Cost: $95
Hitting Camp
Ages 8-18 (players will be grouped by age)
Dec. 6-7
9 a.m. - Noon
Zips Hitting Coach Fred Worth, Head Coach Rick Rembielak, and several Akron players will instruct on the art of hitting.
Video analysis for all hitters.
Cost: $95
Defensive Camp
Ages 8-18 (players will be grouped by age)
Dec. 6-7
1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Head Coach Rick Rembielak and several Zips players will instruct drills in the area of infield and outfield defense.
Video analysis for each camper.
Cost $95
The cost for attending any two camps is $180 and $265 for all three.
