AKRON, Ohio – Single-game tickets for the upcoming matchup between the Akron men's basketball team and VCU on Dec. 29 will go on sale on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. ET.
Fans wanting to secure tickets for the Jan. 21 contest against Kent State before the single-ticket on-sale date of Tuesday, Jan. 3, can do so by purchasing a season ticket or mini-plan, as well as through a group purchase of 20 or more tickets. Each season ticket and mini-plan includes a ticket to the 6 p.m. contest against rival Kent State (PNC Wagon Wheel Challenge), as well as a ticket to the Dec. 29 contest against VCU.
Single-game tickets are also available for the remaining home slate, including games against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Dec. 15), Florida A&M (Dec. 17), Youngstown State (Dec. 19), North Carolina A&T (Dec. 21), Ohio (Jan. 14), Toledo (Feb. 1), Eastern Michigan (Feb. 4), Northern Illinois (Feb. 11), Miami (Ohio) (Feb. 15), Bowling Green (Feb. 22) and Buffalo (Feb. 29).
In addition to single-game tickets, season ticket packages and three-game, five-game and seven-game mini-plans for lower and upper reserved seats are also available.
Fans can also purchase the new "Zips All-Access 10-Pack" presented by McDonald's. This unique ticket package includes 10 vouchers, redeemable for general admission tickets to any 2011-12 regular-season home athletics contest for the Zips five ticketed sports as well as 10 buy-one, get-one-free breakfast or lunch/dinner extra value meal coupons at McDonald's – all for just $100.
Tickets can be purchased online anytime at GoZips.com/tickets, or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Mondays through Fridays by either calling 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets).
Akron closes out its three-game road trip on Saturday, Dec. 10, when it travels to Cleveland, Ohio, to face Cleveland State at 2 p.m. ET. The Zips return home on Thursday, Dec. 15, to play host to Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Rhodes Arena.
