Schedule for Annual Fall Blue and Gold World Series Announced

AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron baseball program will begin its annual Blue and Gold World Series on Monday at Lee Jackson Field, head coach Pat Bangtson announced on Tuesday.
The series will be comprised of a best-of-five series, with the squad split into a Blue team and a Gold team.
Monday's game will start at 2:15 p.m. Game two is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, with Wednesday scheduled to be an off day or a make-up day for inclement weather.
The series resumes on Thursday with game three at 2:15 p.m., and if necessary, game four will be at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. The pivotal game five, if necessary, will be played on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
If the series has been decided before Saturday's game, the team will hold a scrimmage in its place. After Saturday's action, the UA baseball program will hold a picnic for the players and their families.
