Men's Soccer Game vs. Tulsa Officially Sold Out
December 04 | Men's Soccer
Saturday's NCAA quarterfinal game between the University of
Akron and Tulsa is officially sold out, the Athletics Ticket Office
announced Friday.
If you do not have a ticket, you can watch the game on-line for
free by following this link. A link to the broadcast will appear
when the game begins at 4 p.m. (EST).
It will be the fifth time the Zips (22-0-0) will play before a sold
out crowd this season at Lee Jackson Field. The sell out also
guarantees that another attendance record will be set as additional
bleachers have been installed on the west end of the stadium for
Saturday's game.
UA has already set four attendance records this season and has
drawn more than 2,000 fans in seven of 12 home matches overall.
Saturday's game originally sold out Tuesday afternoon, but the
Athletics Department installed temporary bleachers to meet the
exceptionally high demand, thus making additional tickets
available. Saturday's crowd is expected to be in excess of 4,000
fans.
The top-seeded Zips are making their third appearance in the NCAA
quarterfinals. The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the
College Cup, soccer's version of the Final Four, in Cary, N.C.
Akron is currently riding the second longest, single-season win
streak in NCAA history and is aiming to become the first team in 35
years to win a national championship with a perfect record.
