SAAC Announces Canned Food Drive

AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) needs your help to 'can' hunger and recently announced a canned food drive.
Set to take place at the following Zips Athletics events,
student-athletes will be present at the events below to collect
unopened canned food items which will be distributed to local food
banks.
Men's Basketball vs. Niagara - Nov. 29 at 2:00 PM in the JAR
Women's Basketball vs. IPFW - Dec. 2 at 7:00 PM in the JAR
Swimming & Diving Zippy Invitational - Dec. 4-6 at Ocasek

Fans can check out this YouTube message from the UA Student-Athlete Advisory Council which features president C.J. Kaufman (men's soccer), vice-president Madelyn Robinson (swimming and diving) and secretary and treasurer Olivia Hegedus (softball).
SAAC is a group of dedicated student-athletes who serve as a liaison between teams and individual athletes and the administration. SAAC is dedicated to the personal well-being of every student-athlete and makes it their mission to provide all student-athletes with opportunities for community service and career development.
