Carter Places Ninth; Angeloff 29th at Diving Zones

Columbus, Ohio-The University of Akron swimming and diving team sent two divers to the NCAA Zone C Diving Qualifying meet this weekend with junior Katie Carter placing ninth and freshman Amanda Angeloff placing 29th on the 3-meter springboard.
Carter who finished 12th in the 1-meter (263.55) yesterday had a
better finish Saturday afternoon posting a 301.25 in the 3-meter
diving. Teammate Angeloff also finished better with a score of
220.80, she placed 32nd on the 1-meter springboard (204.95)
Friday.
This weekend's meet was held at Ohio State's Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion and was one of five zone meets with divers at each site vying for the chance to compete at their respective 2008 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships which will be held March 20-22 on the campus of Ohio State University.
