Basketball Season Ticket Renewal Deadline

– University of Akron basketball season ticket holders have
until Oct. 10 to renew seats for 2008-09 or their previous year's
seats will become available for others to purchase. Additionally,
the UA Athletics Department unveiled on Thursday its Family Ticket
Plan for the upcoming season.
The Family Plan includes two (2) adult and two (2) youth general
admission tickets or one (1) adult and three (3) youth GA tickets
to all 15 men's or 14 women's home games (including exhibition
play). Those who purchase one of these plans will also receive a
coupon for a pizza from Papa John's.
Packages for men's games are $199 and include premium priced
contests versus Mid-American Conference archrival Kent State (Jan.
24) and intra-state foe Dayton (Jan. 6). The team also plays host
to 2008 NCAA Tournament participant Winthrop (Nov. 18).
Women's packages are $99 and fans will have a chance to see Big Ten
Conference member Michigan (Nov. 17) along with local rivals
Cleveland State (Dec. 3) and Kent State (Jan. 21) visit Rhodes
Arena.
Fans wishing to renew their season tickets and those interested in
purchasing a Family Plan should contact the UA Athletics Ticket
Office at 1-888-99-AKRON or visit the box office located in the
lobby of Rhodes Arena between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET
Monday-Friday.
