Zips to Compete in Jim Colbert Intercollegiate
September 24 | Men's Golf
- The University of Akron men's golf team is headed down south
Monday to play in the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate hosted by Kansas
State University.
The par-72, 7,525-yard championship course has been the home to
both the Kansas State men's and women's golf programs. In September
2005, Colbert Hills was rated as the 10th-best college course in
America, and according to Golf Digest was recently ranked as the
sixth-best college course by Golfweek.
The 54-hole tournament and the first two rounds will begin Monday,
Sept. 24 at 8:30 a.m. The third and final 18 holes will be played
Tuesday also starting at 8:30 a.m.
Other teams participating in the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate
include the Air Force, Army, Marquette, Miami of Ohio, Missouri
State, New Mexico State, Northern Illinois, and Richmond.
Complete results will be posted on the Kansas State web site at
www.kstatesports.com at the end of each day's competition. Live
stats will not be available.
