Baseball to Begin Fall World Series Monday

AKRON, Ohio –

The University of Akron baseball team will begin its annual Fall World Series next week at Lee Jackson Field. Fans, friends and students are encouraged to come support the Zips in this free event.

The best-of-five series will feature the 2007-08 Akron baseball team locked up in an intrasquad Blue-versus-Gold scrimmage beginning at 2:30 p.m. Monday and continuing each day as necessary.

Following tradition, the winners of the series will be treated to steaks while the losers will eat hot dogs.
