Men's Soccer To Hold College Prep Camp
November 29 | Men's Soccer
The University of Akron men's soccer staff will hold its College
Prep Camp, Jan. 5-7, 2007 in the Athletics Field House on the Akron
campus. The camp is open to boys, ages 14 and up.
This season marks the debut of the camp in Akron, featuring the
staff of the Zips men's soccer team as well as other top college
coaches from around the country. The three-day event is designed
for advanced player development and exposure to the game at the
highest level. In addition to college coaches, several Zips players
will be employed by the camp for demonstration purposes.
"This event will serve as a great opportunity for prospective
college athletes to visit our campus, be trained by our staff and
be evaluated by some of the top college programs in the country,"
said Akron head coach
Caleb Porter.
The cost of the camp is $235 per sessions with two separate
sessions being run. Day one consists of a single three-hour
training, followed by two three-hour training sessions on day two.
The camp wraps up with a two-and-a-half hour training session.
All training sessions will take place in the state-of-the-art
Athletics Field House. Opened in 2004, the facility features a
120-yard Astroplay field, track surface, locker and weight room
components.
