As a Sophomore (2013-14): Owned a team-best average of 575 in smallbore on the season ... posted an average of 577 in air rifle, good for second on the team ... earned top gun in a dual competition against University of the Sciences (Pa.) and John Jay (Nov. 2) with a smallbore score of 575, leading the Zips to a final combined score of 4611 to set the program record ... strong performance came against Palmyra (Jan. 26) with a score of 582 in air rifle and a season-best 579 in smallbore ... matched his score of 579 in both smallbore and air rifle during the Western Intercollegiate Rifle Conference Championship (Feb. 15) to help guide the team to a WIRC title ... took top gun for smallbore in the NCAA Qualifier at Ohio State (Feb. 22) with a pair of 579s as well ... received top gun honors for the Zips after firing a career-high 580 in smallbore in the Great American Rifle Conference Championship at Ole Miss (March 1), the team's highest individual smallbore score on the season, along with a season-best score of 587 in air rifle to tie for the second-best individual score in air rifle on the season and come within three points of the individual program record ... notched a smallbore potential of 194 in the kneeling position and 200 in prone, both tying for first place on the team.
Prior to Akron: Started shooting smallbore after setting two team records in Highpower at Camp Perry, Ohio in 2009 … joined the Los Angeles Rifle and Revolver club (LARR) in El Monte, California in the fall of 2009 … won the sharpshooter class for prone at Camp Perry, Ohio in 2010 … won the California State Metric Prone match in both 2011 and 2012 … won the junior and master class at the Western Wildcat 6400 in 2012 … took first in the men’s prone event at the National Junior Olympics, tying a national record (598 out of 600) in 2012 … placed second in the junior men’s prone at the 2012 USAS National Championships/Olympic Trials … a member of the U.S. Olympic Junior Team … participated in the Drew Cup and Dewar Team at Camp Perry … also was on the high junior iron sight prone team and 1st collegiate overall at Camp Perry in 2012.
