as a Sophomore (Spring 2009): Earned Second-TeamAll-MAC accolades … honored with the Coach’s Award andMost Improved Player Award … named MAC Player of the Week onApril 15, after posting a 4-0 combined singles and doubles recordin matches against Western Michigan (April 11) and Bowling Green(April 10) … 28 singles wins, 32 doubles wins and 60combined singles and doubles victories all rank as the second mostin team history … with doubles partner Zara Harutyunyan, won 23-straight doublesmatches from October to early April … with Harutyunyan,became the first pair of Akron teammates to be named to the All-MACfirst or second team in the same season … most memorablemoment of the season was the team’s 4-3 win over NorthernIllinois (March 27) because “We were a family thatday.”
as a Sophomore (Fall 2008): Became first playerin team history to advance through qualifying play and into themain draw at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) MidwestRegional (Oct. 23-28), with straight-set victories over Toledo'sAshley Frey (6-2, 6-3) in the round of 64, Marquette's ChristinaRuiz (6-2, 6-2) in the round of 32 and Eastern Illinois' JulianaFrey (6-1, 6-1) in the round of 16 ... partnered with freshmanZara Harutyunyan to post a 1-1record in doubles at the ITA Midwest Regional, with a 9-8 loss toMinnesota’s Alessandra Ferrazzi and Tijana Koprivica in theopening round of 64, and an 8-4 win over Evansville's KateChybowski and Theadora Kotsiou in the consolation bracket ...teamed with Harutyunyan for an 8-2 win over the Northwestern pairof Keri Robison and Nazlie Ghazal, who made up half of the No. 29-and No. 34-ranked doubles teams in the country, at the NorthwesternWildcat Invitational (Oct. 10-12) ... finished third at WildcatInvite in “B” doubles, after posting wins over LSU'sNicole Kantor and Nicole Smith, a combined team from Illinois(Christine Stromburg) and Notre Dame (Katie Potts), andNorthwestern's Robison and Ghazal ... claimed first collegiatedoubles flight championship by winning the Big Green Invitationalat Dartmouth (Nov. 7-9) with partner Harutyunyan ... nine singleswins and 10 doubles wins were both second-highest total on team ...finished third at No. 2 singles at Bowling Green Invitational(Sept. 20-21) ...
