2019-20 Athletics Communications Student Workers
The University of Akron is now accepting applications in the Department of Athletics for student assistants with Athletics Communications. This position will interact within the department's external relations operation, which includes marketing and promotions, Zips Digital Network, ticketing, and development. The successful candidates will report to the Athletic Communications staff and involve assisting the staff during Zips' home athletics events which include; scoreboard operations, statistical support, social media, copywriting. Opportunities to assist in the office tasks such as creating gameday programs, statistical research, copy writing (news releases, biographies, program stories).

2019-20 Athletic Facilities and Operations Student Workers
The Akron Athletic Facilities and Operations Department is hiring student employees for the 2019 summer and 2019-2020 school year. Students will assist with event set-up, break down, supervising assigned facility/event, and administrative duties. Students will also assist with game day operations for home UA Athletic Events. There are positions  available in the Stile Athletics Field House, InfoCision Stadium, and James A. Rhodes Arena. 2019-20 Marketing Interns
Akron Athletics is looking for hardworking, dedicated, enthusiastic individuals who are interested in a career in sports marketing and would like to be a part of the 2019-20 Sports Marketing Internship team. Interns in the program provide a vital role in planning and executing marketing efforts across all intercollegiate sports, power our group ticket sales initiatives, and take on additional projects and events as needed. Interns will be cross-trained in all aspects of our department and gain a wide range of knowledge and experiences from sales to customer service to promotion management. As members of the marketing team, interns are expected to attend weekly planning meetings and work as part of a team with other gameday interns.

2019-20 Gameday Marketing Crew
The University of Akron Department of Athletics is looking for hardworking, dedicated individuals who are interested in a career in sports marketing and would like to be a part of the 2019-20 University of Akron Gameday Marketing Crew Member program. This position provides an introduction towards a career in athletic marketing and promotions and will benefit the student in his or her overall understanding of sports marketing and administration. This position will focus mainly on events with limited office hours and is not eligible for course credit.

2019-20 IMG Gameday Intern
Learfield/IMG College is the nation's leading collegiate sports marketing company, offering national, regional, and local multi-platform marketing opportunities targeting college sports fans. Akron Learfield/IMG College is one of many local properties here in Northeast Ohio that contribute to this footprint. We work closely with the Akron Athletics Marketing Department to create, plan, and implement the marketing strategies of our local corporate partnerships. As an Learfield/IMG Gameday Intern, you will be responsible for attending all home events for Men's Soccer, Football, and Men's Basketball, assisting with pregame preparations, executing all in-game promotions including securing contestants and maintaining quality client customer service on the day of the event. This is a paid internship. Commitment: 10-15 hours per week, with 75% of these being evenings, weekends, and holidays, if needed. Requirements: Undergraduate or Graduate student in good standing with the University. We expect to hire only 3 crew members for the fall and spring semesters.
